In 2011, over 450 singers from almost all of Austria's provinces, Germany and Czech Republic took part in the "Feuer & Stimme" ("Fire & Voice") festival.

The choir festival began on Friday with an opening celebration on the market square in St. Michael, during which every choir was invited to introduce itself with their own, individual song.
